Cathodic Protection - What is It.

Technically it is a technique used to control the corrosion of a metal surface or object by making it the cathode of a electrochemical cell.
The easiest way to appy Cathodic Protection is by connecting the metal to be protected with another more easily corroded "sacrificial metal" to act as the anode of the electrochemical cell. Cathodic Protection, Galvanic Isolation, Corrosion Protection systems are used to protect a wide range of metallic structures including boats, yachts, water and fuel pipelines, storage tanks, steel piers and even oil platforms.
